Wk 31-26 – Weekly Note

Notes and reflections from Week 31 of 2026.

2 Aug 2026.
Seema’s Starbucks.
I’ve been coming here everyday for the last week or so. Some normality has come back to life. I think as much as I like being a nomad, I also like the idea of being tethered at one place and living a boring life of routine. Talk of weirdness. Lol!

PS: Pradeep asked me what do I mean by “fix life”. This normality of having a routine is a component in fix life.

Ok, so a lot to talk about.
Took much action over the last few days and I feel like dumping things somewhere. I mean I am dumping those onto my Roam and notes and all that but I still want to capture those.

Lessgo…

Oh, the song of the week is this.

.

Highlights, reflections, updates, notes and thoughts from the week gone by.

1/ A month in Dubai

I’ve decided that I will go live in Dubai for the month of Sep. It’s my 2131231th attempt to go build a life outside India. Let’s see if I am able to make it work this time.

While I am there for this tiny window, I will see if I can shift my personality to live in a place like Dubai where people expect everything to be polished and all that. Like I said, I am not sure and I will never find out till I actually do the hard thing.

Oh, and more than just the shift, I need to also think what I can apply myself to. Agency, AI transformation, 66MGRoad, Yellow, Writing, Or anything else. And if nothing else, a podcast 😀

PS: While editing this, Claude told me to build a clone of FlexingIt for Dubai market. Lol, so many ideas. So less time. Such easy desk execution now. What does a man do!

PPS: As I write this, there are news that the conflict is escalating and that means all my investments and plans will go down the drain. I remain an optimistic and I hope we would find some resolution soon.

PPPS: As I edit this, there are talks of de-escalation. Optimism Pro Max.

.

2/ The August Plan

While September is Dubai (and thus things around there), here’s my plan for August…

  1. Work more on WeAreC4E.com. Make it into a lead magnet for event piece for C4E.
  2. I am thinking of shipping the CRM tool to the world. I find value in it. Let’s see if others will find value as well. So, I will make a landing page and will try to give demo to people and sell them a subscription. In case you want to buy, am selling it for $99 a year.
  3. Make Book 2 shippable. It’s almost ready. Just that I need to make a pass thru it.
  4. Operate in Eco Mode. And as a part of that, use cash as much as I can (against digital payments). Unless absolutely necessary. I want to add friction to the money spending thing.

I will add more as they come.

.

3/ Udipt and Himanshu

On 66MGRoad, these two boys are helping me move things. And I’ve been proven very wrong by these guys at a lot of places. I want to make a list but I think that is beyond this blog. At this time, I merely want to acknowledge and document that I was wrong.

Also they taught me the value of doing things with Brute Force. And reminding me of PG’s do things thats dont scale.

Thank you, boys.

.

4/ Eco Mode

I have activated Eco Mode in life.

This meant that I’ve cut EACH expense that is not required. This means, I have expensive memberships and I will downgrade on things where am paying to get special access (you know, lounges, clubs etc). I am also more mindful and I am eating at home. And I am increasingly tempering my spends at Starbucks. Irony, I am sipping onto a 400 bucks coffee while I write this.

Among these, the one that hurt the most was cancelling AMEX. Couple of reasons TBH.

A, I spend about 75K on it per year, just to get access to the card. I can get Claude for that much ;P. The add ons they offer dont really add a lot. I dont think I’ve used any of their additional services. I will find out ;P

B, Over time the service had really degraded. Like one time I didnt have my card on me and they denied me access to their otherwise empty lounge.

I know it will be tough to get this again. But I had to get it as an ego thing. I got it. And they were not able to offer me enough value to retain them when the times turn bad for me. Compare this to Claude. I am thinking of getting an even higher tier than that 200 USD Max!

Oh, this is true for people and relationships too. I’ve often see myself getting cut when I stop offering value. In fact, I’ve been cut even when I was valuable. Lol!

PS: like I said above, I will use as much cash as I can in all of August, to know and see how am I spending.

.

5/ Previous Weekly Reviews

I dont know why but I was seeing older posts on these weekly reiews.

And I realized that they were more layered, nuanced and revealed more about my thinking and were not merely reporting. I think since I got busier I started to cut corners. Starting with this one, I will get back to more verbose, more long-form notes where I talk about a lot more than mere reports.

Lemme know what you think.

.

6/ Ideal End State

I met Dr H this week. She asked me what do I really want from life and in life. And while elaborating on it, she asked me if it was a lavish home, people, money, power or something else. And when she further elaborated it, I realised it was something VERY similar to Kevin’s Ideal End State.

Made me think.

And here’s my articulation of how I want my life to be. PS: Note 2 self – my more private ideal end state document is here.

My answer will always start from the Kabir couplet.

Sai itna dijiye, jaame kutumb samaay,
main bhookha naa rahoon, sadhu na bhookha jaaye

And if I were to tangibalise it, I would say,

  1. Enough to not think about spending money. I anyway don’t splurge. I spend on mid-level comforts (business class travel etc). I think I would glad if this number is in high three-digit USD millions.
  2. Enough to support friends, family and acquaintances with things that they need. Need. Not want.
  3. Live without needless drama. In a place that gives me AC (or is cold without AC). I dont know what this location could be.
  4. Some work that allows me to travel the world and meet people. And with time, people who are at the top of their games. I remember Chamath or someone mentioned that the world is run by 150 people. I dont want to run the world would but I would love to know some of those.
  5. Support and be a patron to people who’re pushing the baton with art, music, entertainment, films etc.

Of course there is more. The private link above has a longer list.

What do YOU really want?
What’s your ideal end state?

PS: An argument against this ideal end state is that I want to enjoy the journey and not work towards a destination. And while I do things that take me close to my ideal end state, I want to continue to optimise for day to day joy.

.

7/ Lessons from HelioCoach

I’ve never talked about this our loud but here I am.

For context, I pulled together a team of friends and well-wishers and built a consumer mobile app for supplementation compliance. You may see it at heliocoach.com.

Of course the market is crowded but I thought I could find a place and build a business. We wanted to get just about a few hundred dollars each month and that would have made us enough to keep the team going. You know, Ramen money!

We did each thing that all the startup gurus say — content, ebook, influencers, founder branding etc etc. And yet we were unable to make any dent anywhere.

Of course, I take it in the stride. And I did get something from it.

Here’s a list…

  1. Aarya
  2. Confidence that any app can be made using Claude. I am using that confidence to build 66MGRoad now. And Chandni and Aarya are now building Yellow.
  3. Lessons on importance of distribution. This has been on my radar for like decades but I havent moved my ass on it.
  4. Awareness that I am unable to push people I love. As the originator of idea and “leader” of the team that was working on this idea, I take all the blame for the non-success of the app. And I learnt that unless I push, I wont be able to take things far. This is something that Nakul also mentioned. That unless you are a gunda in your team, you wont be able to move things forward.

.

8/ Nims. And Mt Everest

The mountains took Nimsdai away. I am sad about it and my thoughts are with his family. This tweet from Barsha expresses the agony and anguish that I feel in words far better than me.

Also, lemme talk about something else here. Lemme make this about me.

When I was young (around 2013 or 14), I read somewhere that years are long and decades are short. And at that time I made a promise to myself and the world. That I will do three things – make a billion dollars, impact a billion lives and climb Mt Everest. And I will take 10 years to do that. This 10-year deadline expired on Jan 1, 2026. And ofc, I didnt do any of these three. While I am hopeful that I will do the first two, I’ve given up on Mt Everest.

Many reasons. Lemme try to articulate.

a/ I dont have it in me. It’s plain simple acceptance of defeat and humbling down that comes with it.

b/ I did go to the Everest base camp (in 2021) and I sort of understood that it’s not for me and thus worth the effort. This could be my justification-brain talking here but a shot at Everest would have taken me a few years of all-in training and a lot of money. I know there are serious hobbyists who’ve done it. But I am not like them. I am easily distracted and have way too many interests to go all-in into one of those.

So, I gave up.

Mind you – this could be my defeat talking. So read with that bias please.

c/ I realised that Everest was a bragging conversation more than anything else. I come from Delhi and Haryana and like most people from there, I love to talk. And this means that I would have spoken it out loud in some conversation. So, that!

.

9/ Rant on Reading

I grew up with comic books and novels (my father used to read potboilers from Surendra Mohan Pathak and all) and then once I went to MBA, I got to read more. And with time reading habits evolved. Till the last few years. When my reading habits changed.

I stopped reading books unless they were recommended by a lot of people I respect.

Most of my reading then became blogs, newsletters and all that. And then that stopped too. Not because there was so much to read but because I found “better” way to read. By seeing videos, talking to people and tinkering and all that. And for my use case, this works well. So I never picked books again.

Plus I’ve been distracted a lot. I have immense respect for people who’re able to do things while battling personal things. I can either keep the kitchen running for myself. Or I can think deep about things. Lately i’ve become acquainted with a young woman, Drishti. She does brilliant work at work and for her personal projects. I dont know how she gets the time. Or find the energy. Or may be its easy once you have a job that gives you a fixed fee for a fixed time you rent there. There are times when I regret my decision to not take a job and use my non work time to meander. But then I think about how we as humans weren’t really supposed to take jobs and all that. It’s just a construct to keep the fire burning.

Ok am rambling. Moving on.

PS: This means that my reading list and the TIL group that I run is dying a slow death. I am just glad that Pradeep keeps me posted on important things around the internet!

.

10/ Claude

While I was doing an edit pass, I realised that I hadnt talked baout Claude. And I must! After all, thats where I spend a lot of my time and attention. I have nothing specific to write this week. My tokens got Maxxed on a Tuesday or something (reset happens on Thursday) and I felt like one arm has been taken away from me 🙁

And since it came back on a Thursday, am back on it with a vengeance! Yay!

.

📷 Photos from the week gone by

Available on request :D.

But I have to place this here.

.

📈 Trackers…

Here are one.

Love that there’s good recovery (I suspect Whoop is misfiring), green on emotions and about 6-7 hours of sleep on an average.

Also notice the pushups row. I do sets of 5 thru the day. Aim is to get to 100 pushups in a day (through the day) and then grow sets to 10 and then more.

.

✅ Action on LARGE objectives for the year

In 2026, I plan to do three things.

  • Book2
  • Human Flag Pole
  • Save a million dollars

Book2 / Caravan Serai.
No movement this week. I will pick this in August.

Human Flag Pole.
I’ve started with push-ups. Its nothing tbh but some action for sure.

Save a million dollars.
No action to report.

📌 So, what did I get done last few weeks? And what will I do next week?

This is a one-line report on progress I made on various things that are important to me. I will only talk about things that I got done. Shipped. Not WIP.

So, this year, I want to track the following…

  1. Health. Sleep, food, movement. Bad. Many weeks running.
  2. C4E / Work. Pick a thing to apply myself to. Reworked on C4E website. Added some content. Made some progress on 66MGR.
  3. Brand SG / Distribution. No action TBH.
  4. People. No action.
  5. Book2. Nothing this week.
  6. Shauk. Again, nothing.

.

🏃‍➡️ Health

No large actions apart from eating first meal post 12, taking supplements on time (Just popped the Vit D 60000 IU tab), some pushups. Which is a LOT tbh, compared to what I am typically on.

.

⏲️ Reminders from last few days

Thanks to Claude and sgTasks, I dont forget things. However like most things that you stop thinking about, often they become blind spots and you dont even think about those. And I’ve found that thinking about things in the liminal often gives you great clarity.

So, I shall write those here in a list.

  1. Fix my linkedin
  2. Get a better CA for C4E
  3. Fix the voice guide on my AI tools
  4. 66MGR Ops things
  5. Close edits on wearec4e.com

Eventually this list will get longer. But at least it’s a start.

.

🗓️ So, one thing that defines the past week?

Routine.

The other words for this year have been: Getting Back, Freedom, People, Motion, Show, Flow, Excitement, Embarrassment, Blur, Whiling, Movement, Activity, Regular, Easy, Journey, Downtime, Same, Drift.

So that.
Over and out.
Until next Friday.
SG

Oh, and this too shall pass.

Wk 12-26 – Weekly Notes

Notes from weeks 9, 10, 11 and 12 of 2026.

I am back!
After exactly a month.
The last post here was on the 22nd of Feb. And in the last 4 weeks, a lot has happened. I’ve travelled to Dubai, Delhi, KL, Singapore. There is a war in the Middle East. Some inkling of the idea (in terms of what I want to do) seems to be taking shape. And as always, a lot of thoughts and observations. Lets see how many of those can I capture here.

But then I havent written a lot lately and I think I the writing muscle needs some sort of a booster. Maybe this post is that.

Lets go.

Wait, the track of the week is this.

I used to hear this track a lot when I was younger. And I had forgotten about it. And then I meet a friend and he reminded me of it. And I love it. I can not stop grooving to it!

PS: Here’s a post about the friend. And a photo I took.

Any how.
Let’s go…

💭 Highlights, reflections, updates, notes and thoughts from the last few weeks

As always, these are not in any order.

1/ The world becomes kinder when you’re seen as a success

If there is one lesson that I’ve learnt in the last 15 days, it is this – the world will reward you more if it sees you as successful.

Nothing surprising about it.
The entire theory of evolution is about natural selection of the strongest. The Selfish Gene says that whatever has the highest odds of propagating, will survive. Success is the independent barometer reading of your value to the world. And the world will reward the ones that they see are already successful. We see this play out a lot around us beyond the books and in real life.

Founders with IIT-IIM pedigrees get funded more. The success indicator is the school they went to. Actors that do well tend to get offered better films. And apparently in Dubai, if you dont have a Rolex on your wrist, you are not allowed inside certain places. The car your drive, the place you live at, the clubs you have the memberships to indicate a lot about your success.

And that begets you more opportunities!

So, its imperative that you are a success if you want to deliver on your destiny. I’ve been the kinds to never chase the worldly markers of success. But I am learning it the hard way that I must. And it will need a large change in my personality to do this. Let’s see if I can choose this discomfort as I think about the next things in life.

And like that maxim goes that its expensive to be poor, there’s another that I want to tattoo on my backside – you’re a failure if you dont succeed.

Lol!
Maybe need to come up with better ones.

2/ The concept of Karma is theoretical at best

The other thing I learnt while I was on the road is that Karma is overrated. It’s the softer pillar that you lean on to tell yourself that you are doing good and as a result, good will happen to you.

Same as religion but milder.

With religion, the idea was to create some guidelines that would serve the rulers and create some semblance of order with those doctrines. And then with time it became degenerated (or maybe evolved) as a way to control people and wield power.

With religion, the rules of conduct are set by old books and their keepers. With karma, you set the rules, you want to be good, hoping the good will circle back.

With Karma, you dont serve one person’s agenda but you limit yourself. And then you stay in the boundaries. However, IRL, I’ve seen boundaries diminish with such ease that I am often left wondering, were there any in the first place.

So that.
Wont write more.
I am hoping that my readers are smart!

3/ Life in other countries is very relaxed…

…if you can do you own dishes and clean your clothes.

Jokes apart, I think the day to day life is a tad better out of India.

I travelled to three countries and lived with friends for more nights than I slept at hotels. And that means I could see life up close. And I realised that daily friction of living is so less in other countries that I am left wondering, why is our life in India so screwed.

The landlords dont bother you if 5 people come in.
The neighbors are not pesky.
You dont fight over petty things with folks around you.
The strangers are generally helpful.
No one is cutting queues.
You are offered space.
There is overt politeness.
Everyone seems to be helping each other.
The two countries that I spent most of my time in, there was no large display of religious disharmony (one is an extremist nation and the other has very hard rules against such).

Of course its expensive to get the army of domestic helps that we are so used to in India. So if you can afford, it would be even better. If you can’t afford, you ought to find your balance. But am more convinced that one must not live in India!

PS: If you do choose to live out of the country, you also have the option of finding your kinds (other Indians) or you can learn to chat with folks from other nationalities and expand your knowledge. I specifically write about this because I saw a lot of my Indian friends make friends with other Indians!

4/ Dar ke aage jeet hai!

Read this “jeet” as…

making cold calls,
making small talk,
taking shots beyond your comfort zone,
sales
etc.

Most people I know are unable to do these because, well, fear.

I am the same.
I have a hard time initiating a conversation with someone. I have a very terrible self-image. To a point that Kunal shared some notes and ideas on how to fix it (I tried but I havent been able to fix). But I do know that folks that are able to overcome their dar are indeed great!

And I I have to say this, in bold.
That if I could turn back time and re-learn life from scratch, I would learn the art of sales. Really. I just dont know how to sell. I often sell myself short. Or I push myself way too much.

5/ Claude Code

I am claudemaxxing for last two three days and I love it.
I have this spring in my step.
I am giddy with possibilities.
I can build up these worlds that I live in.
I love the idea of being able to control my future and do larger things.
And I know I am like a child – I am not sure of the risks and pitfalls and everything looks full of hope. So that!

Oh, with Claude, my friends and I have tried to work on a nutrition supplementation app, a screenwriting support tool and I dont know what all! I know none of these are production quality, none of these have users but as they say, hope floats. I will keep updating here.

Here’s an update from Sunday evening…

6/ The return of Travis

This was one of the biggest news of the tech world in the last few days. And no, I am not untouched by it. I have conflicting thoughts on Travis. On one side, he built a company and took it global and created impact. And on the other, he’s not a nice person. So that.

Anyhow.

Do read Travis on Atoms.
And Om on Travis on Atoms.
While you are on Om, also read Om’s piece on storytelling and Symbolic Capitalism. This is something that I want to push at C4E!

7/ Stripe Press

Spotted Rohit’s piece on Stripe Press.

I have to start a Stripe Press clone! I’ve been thinking about it for too long. And if my latest manifesto (to spread joy while i make money) is to be believed, I would love to do something in the publishing space. I do have a few friends in this space. There is Prak. Just that I havent had the courage to do that. Plus the money situation in the publishing business sucks. So that.

Lets see what I end up doing.

And while we are on Stripe, here’s advice from Patrick to folks who are between 10 and 20. Read. And truth be told, relevant to even people my age!

8/ Mobile free in April. Can I?

I want to spend the whole of April without a smart phone. Is it possible?

Especially when I plan to be in a different country for a few days. Let’s see. I mean I can use my smart phone dumb (assistive mode) and live with it.

I dont know.
Time shall tell.

But today, on Sunday the 22nd, I plan to not use my Smart phone.
I am carrying a feature phone.
Let’s see how that goes.

You may also want to see this daily YT live that I do…

9/ Lessons from last few days

I will make a linkedin post on this but I want the content to have originated here.

Like I said, the last few weeks have been interesting. I’ve been about town and met people (old and new) and learnt many lessons.

I wanted to capture all those even though its humanly impossible to do a good job, even with notetakers and all that. So, here’s one line lesson from some folks I met. And like in most one-line pieces, a lot of context and nuance will get lost.

Anyhow.
In no order, let’s go…

Aastha taught me how to think big. And not give up. And be at it. In fact, Aastha has to be one of the top 10 people I’ve met and been able to befriend in the last 5 years.

Pritam taught me that a true general will never leave till he wins. And if he is forced to, he will not leave without his team. Pritam is also a top-10 person.

Bux and Puspesh taught me in different words that the market needs to validate the idea by paying money for it. The validation of ideas is NOT in research or in reports.

Puspesh also taught me how you find your space in this world. And even if you choose to be stubborn about what you want to do and how you want to do, the world will often give you what you seek.

Sharan taught me that consistency can be easy. Thing is, this has been my Achilles Heel. I am not consistent and I want to learn more from Sharan.

Aanchal taught me how is it to be focussed and driven and yet have a good time. She and I share a common last name and I want to be better friends with her.

Mahesh Sir taught me how to build and support a village. And how to put your money where your mouth is!

Swathi taught me what courage could look like, especially in the face of battles on all fronts – work, personal, health, etc etc.

Ajeet Sir taught me how to build networks and bring people together. And be compelling when its the time to sell.

Bhaargav taught me how is it to acknowledge that you were on a wrong path. And then course correct. And keep at it.

Ankesh taught me yet again that I need to be fearless. And he also taught me that it’s ok to acknowledge that you may not know everything. Also, Ankesh is another top-10 person.

Krishna taught me how to change my opinion and look beyond things that I am convinced about.

Rohit taught me young hustle. And dream. As I write this, the boy from a tiny village (literal village) is in SFO and building his dream.

Ayush is another young hustler and he taught me how to focus.

Varoon taught me grace. On this one, I will have to give context. He’s been a client on two projects – on one, we did a kickass job and on the other, he fired us. And yet he remains accessible and helpful and polite and graceful.

Aoenha taught me how to be a bossperson and chase an idea that no one can even fathom and do it with so much passion and energy that the world has to line up and give you what you seek.

Samriddh taught me three things on my last meeting. I will only talk about one. To not give a fuck. While I hear this from many many people, I am not left inspired. In Samriddh’s case, his journey has been nothing short of incredible.

Phew!

ISTG, there are more.
But I am tired of writing and remembering.
I need a better system ;P

10/ $50 from NeoSapien

This honest review of NeoSapien Neo 1 that I wrote a few months ago seems to be ranking high on SEO. And I have made some 50 dollars thru it! I love free Internet money!

In case any of you has any consumer tech products that you want me to review, am here! Lol!

.

🈺 Photos from the past few days

Here are some.

Not too many. Especially cos I was not in India. And I’ve been thinking about shutting this anyway. So may be, from next week on, I will shut this.

.

🈺 Trackers…

I dont have trackers.
I was unable to track while I was on the road.
No one to blame.
So skipping these for this update.

.

🈺 Action on LARGE objectives for the year

In this section, I will capture my progress on large objectives for the year.

In 2026, I plan to do the following three things…

  1. Book2
  2. Human Flag Pole
  3. Save a million dollars

No action in the last week on any of these goals. I do have a vague thought on what I want to do in terms of work. But that doesn’t count on these at this time.

So, no progress and no update.

.

☑️ So, what did I get done last few weeks? And what will I do next week?

This is a one-line report on progress I made on various things that are important to me. I will only talk about things that I got done. Shipped. Not WIP.

Like last section, no update over the last few weeks. Just been on the road and terribly busy with it.

So, this year, I want to track the following…

  1. Health. I will work on sleep, food and movement.
  2. C4E / Work. I want to shortlist some idea that I want to work on.
  3. Brand SG / Distribution. No action on this. I remain away from social media.
  4. People (Family, Friends, Strangers, etc).
  5. Book2. I want to start with this.
  6. Shauk (Music, Films, Poker etc).

.

🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️ Health

I added Health as a key section last year. I read somewhere that you need 4 things to live long – sleep, exercise, diet and community. I will track all four. And then some more variables that I feel are important to me. Let’s see what comes out.

No action again. I mean I didnt track or actively think about it.

.

🧠 Reminders from last week

This section captures things that I want to not forget. I add those to SG’s Office. I will copy paste these week on week and track updates.

A few things.

  1. Start a podcast with C and AK. This remains open and will probably get shut. I dont see the excitement in the three of us. Closing this. Couldnt make progress.
  2. Update C4E’s Culture Book. This is still WIP.
  3. Storytelling presentation for the session on the 7th March. I missed this. And I will do this in March. Maybe on the 28th or the 29th? I missed this again. I dont think am doing this. So closing and moving on.

These few come to mind as I speak.
I have a suspicion that this will grow and will become unmanageable in a few weeks. I will find a solution when I get to it. For the time being, here’s a sheet where I track my actions.

.

🥡 So, one thing that defines the past week?

Movement.
And that’s why I was not that active on socials!

The other words for this year have been: Regular (again), Regular, Easy, Journey, Downtime.

Phew!
Lemme know what you think.
See you around.

Oh, and this too shall pass!

PS: This series of posts is inspired by Thej and his weekly notes. Previous editions:

Wk 03-26 – Weekly Notes

Notes, thoughts, observations and updates from Week 3 of 2026.

Morning!
The first update of 2026 is here!

This one comes from a Starbucks (where else) at Ahmedabad. Am here to meet Krishna and this is my 3rd trip / city in this year already (the other ones were Pune and Delhi (+Gurgaon + Noida)). The 4th trip is to Chennai next week. And I love it. I missed being on the road.

As I look back to 2025, I am wondering, how did I even agree to be bound to one place? Dont get me wrong. I am all for routines and discipline and all that but I know that us humans were not supposed to settle down. If my memory serves me right, it was agriculture that tamed us (I think I read this in one of Harari’s books) and while settling has had its advantages, its the voyagers and scouts and road warriors who’ve show us the way.

In fact, in our life time, there are people who’re showing us that adventurers push the “human race forward“. From the guy who jumped from Stratosphere (for Red Bull) to the ones who’ve taken rockets to space (Hi, Elon!) and lived at ISS to the ones who didn’t make it — each of these people paved the way for us as a race. The ones who are tethered to a place, eating popcorn and paddling convenience in 10 mins must be grateful to these folks.

Listen to this as you read this…

“push the human race forward”

Ok, I can rant for hours on this. But let’s move on.

So, this year on, I plan to be lot more consistent. Lol. However if the 15 days of 2026 are to go by anything, I have an uphill task. And at least as of today, I am committed.

Ok, again. Ranting. Lemme get to the weekly notes.

💭 Highlights, reflections, updates, notes and thoughts from Week 3, 2026

So, this is the first one of the year and I want to try a different format.

I will talk about what I learnt and what I thought and all that. And I will use cues from all the things I’ve consumed and saved (you know, photos, quotes, links, notes). This of this as me talking to myself.

Lets go!

1/ Nirula’s
Here’s a pick from the OG Niruala’s outlet in Delhi. Saw it on this trip.

the OG Nirula’s outlet in Delhi

Growing up, the HCF was such a rage that I would save for it. I was reminded that they used to run an offer where any kid who got about 85 would get a free sunday or an ice-cream and I remember my sis getting those for free all the time (she was the studious kinds and did well at school).

.

2/ Habit Stacking Cards
These cards come from Shardul and Good Habits Club. Such a simple idea. And such a powerful one.

In case you wish to order these, ask me!

PS: A lot of work on HelioCoach will happen from the foundations of these stacking cards.

.

3/ The console from an event.
Nothing much to say here but I love these messy things like the console. And if you notice, the mess at the back of the screen – the wall that separates the dreamers from the doers.

From an event console

If I had my way, I would only do events. Blame it on Suvi, Anna and Gravity!

.

4/ Sacrifice vs Desire
I saw this on instagram probably and I was so moved that I couldnt sit still. All my life I’ve seen so many people want so many things and give so little towards that it hurt my head and heart. I didn’t have the words to tell them how to give more to get more. And then I saw this and I was, WOAH!

What are you sacrificing?

And in fact, I’ve lived all my life with the sacrifice first lens (not that I have a lot to show for that and it has served me well – after all, I live an almost “free” life (this year I plan to be more kind on myself)). I wish I could tell more people that they need to do more to get more.

Oh, and in case you are unable to sacrifice a lot, tame your desire!

.

5/ Lesson in Persistence
This comes from Insta as well (I love insta for visual cues) and reinforces another thought that I believe in – stay at it. Keep digging. Find meaning in adventures and pursuits and even in suffering.

How many reps did you do to get to your goal?

No, I am not justifying suffering.

All I am saying is that the journey and the highways and the speedbumps that come along the way make the journey exciting and worth it. When you see the scenery change as you go forth, you start to travel deeper inside. There is a reason that despite all the air travel, roadtrips are alluring.

.

6/ Unreasonable People
One of my recurring tropes and inspiration has been this category of people that we call unreasonable people. These are the people who dont settle for an answer. They are the ones who are persistent, sacrifice all they have and like I paraphrased in the beginning, push the human race.

Who’s the most unreasonable person you know?

In fact, one of my goals is to find more unreasonable people and become friends with them.

.

7/ “Jo beet gayi so baat gayi”
Harivansh Rai Bachchan wrote this poem – Jo beet gayi so baat gayi. Vipassana taught me the concept of Anicca. Both these loosely teach that what’s happened has happened and you need to move on.

Of course you are human and it’s tough to move on. And my biggest fear of life is that I will die alone. Each person who I care for, supported, took care of will desert me at some point in time. And this is not an unfounded notion. I have had friends, business partners, lovers and people from every other deep relationship walk out on me.

At first, I was angry, confused and sore. I went thru the stages of grief. Luckily, I came out ok on the other side.

But now as I start to age and start to hit the mid-life crisis and all that, I have lot more acceptance. In fact, more than mere acceptance, my first reaction when someone moves on is, “I am so happy for you”.

And thus when I saw this cartoon, I felt seen!

I am indeed so happy for each person who moves on!

So that.

.

8/ Dan Koe
I’ve been reading thing from Dan Koe and oh man, WHAT A GUY!

My primary medium of discovery is his X – @TheDanKoe. Some of the pieces I’ve read and been thinking on are articulation (something that I saw Dr Peterson talk about as well), fix life in one day and on multiple interests. Each of these are what I would love to stand for. Each of these are what I want to talk about. Each of these are what I want to find an answer to!

I invite you to read more about him.

.

9/ Scott Adams
One of these days, I woke up with the news of Scott Adams passing away. And no, I was not really moved about it but I do remember waking up to a same news about Steve as well (in 2015). Here’s my post after I learnt of Steve’s passing.

Anyhow, the point is, Scott published a final letter on X and he ended it up with two words.

Be Useful.

These two words have been the mantra of life for a long time now. And I think I want to double down on this. I want to be of service to many more people, and at a large scale. And I want to do this while I put myself first, make money, take care of my village and yet build with an abundant mindset.

.

10/ WA
I’ve officially lost control of my WA. There are way too many texts and way too many messages. I dont think I will ever be able to get back to people in time. And I apologize for that in advance. I will have to publish this multiple times on the internet.

.

Other, misc updates.

These are not in any order.

1/ My eyes are getting weak.
I can feel nausea, headache and blurry vision when I see at the screen for long. I will get some checkup done.

2/ “There is no them”
I am not the spiritual kinds but I do know that all of us are “one”. I am not very articulate about it but I will work on this as we go along. Oh, next week, am visiting Ramana Maharshi’s ashram.

3/ YT Live is on!
I go live each day around 815 and talk about whatever is at the top of my head. I want to do this everyday but I am unable to. Also, I want to do this at 8 but logistics prevent me from that!

You may see it here.

4/ Insta stories are live!
See this where I want to upload a picture each day. So far I’ve missed a few and I will try to not miss many.

5/ Little flunky, small time thief
There was a distinct time when I felt like a small-time paddler. CB would be sad at me. I remember him saying, “I am not much of a petty thief, either I want the entire world or nothing”. So I need to up my ante here.

🈺 Action on LARGE objectives for the year

In this section, I will capture my progress on large objectives for the year. In 2026, I plan to do the following three things…

  1. Book2
  2. Human Flag Pole
  3. Save a million dollars

I am most confident about book 2. Dr Hitakshi tells me that flag pole will take 2 years of sorts. The million dollars one, I am not sure yet. Lets see.

So, as a status update, I will give myself a zilch. In the last 15 days, I have taken absolutely zero action. The next week will also be a tough one. I am on the road. Maybe the last week is when I will show real traction. I also need to think that if this year is going to be full of travel and all that, how do I plan to stay consistent and focussed. #sgtoThink

.

☑️ So, what did I get done last week? And what will I do next week?

This is a one-line report on progress I made on various things that are important to me. I will only talk about things that I got done. Shipped. Not WIP.

I will get back on this in the next update (for the next week) but this year, I want to track the following…

  1. Health
  2. C4E / Work
  3. Brand SG / Distribution
  4. People (Family, Friends, Strangers, etc)
  5. Book2
  6. Shauk (Music, Films, Poker etc)

In the coming week, I want to do the following…

  1. Start with book 2
  2. Start with serious fitness things (lol)
  3. Shortlist some idea that I want to invest time and money on.

.

🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️ Health

I added Health as a key section last year. I read somewhere that you need 4 things to live long – sleep, exercise, diet and community. I will track all four. And then some more variables that I feel are important to me. Let’s see what comes out.

Like the last one, I will get back on this in the next update (for the next week).

.

🧠 Reminders from last week

This section captures things that I want to not forget. I add those to SG’s Office. I will copy paste these week on week and track updates.

Like the last two, I will get back on this in the next update (for the next week).

.

🥡 So, one thing that defines the past week?

Journey.

Triggered by the trips that I’ve taken this year. And more importantly, the inward one.

Phew!
Lemme know what you think.
See you around.

Oh, and this too shall pass!

PS: This series of posts is inspired by Thej and his weekly notes.

PPS: Please do point typos.

PPPS: In case you see me being inconsistent in anything – work, writing, reviews etc, PLEASE do point out.

PPPPS: This is the first “update” of the year and thus a lot of this is incomplete. Allow me one or two weeks to get settled. And, on this one, do lemme know what you think of the new format.
